1. I would object to the total yellow lines down both sides of Mansfield Street because I run two businesses down there and it will make it more difficult to run them because of no space for visitors especially on the evening for the gym and apartments it would be better if we had one single line on the left side ie our side of the street .no parking during the day but ok for parking after 6pm that would be helpful and would not be restrictive for both of my businesses I have lived and worked there for 24 years and would hopefully have some consideration of how we run and operate down there if it was totally yellow lined it would effect us greatly but think the one yellow line out side my buildings would be a good compromise and would achieve your objectives and help us with ours I would be happy to have a meeting if needed at Mansfield Street ? Thank you in advance and hope you can resolve this please
2. Having double yellow lines on the side of the road closest to Coal Yard 2, would be a huge help.
The bin store, two emergency exits and car park are all accessed straight from this section of road, so adding yellow lines will ensure staff, students and visitors, the council (for bin collection), visiting contractors and emergency services will always have access to/from the building which they require.
However, I do not think it would be necessary to add double yellow lines to the other side of Mansfield Street. In fact, I am conscious this may be a potential inconvenience to smaller businesses along the road, with whom we have a good relationship. Having a single yellow line down this side of the road has never been any sort of nuisance, and I can’t see it becoming one.
I ask that you please reconsider adding double yellows to both sides of Mansfield Street, and apply them to the side of the road closest to Coal Yard Two, if possible.
